Announcing the Climate Money Podcast
We’re launching a podcast focused on the climate business headlines & what they mean
Hi everyone,
We’re launching a podcast! The Climate Money podcast focuses on climate business headlines and their implications.
Back in 2020, I started hosting a Clubhouse room called Climate Headlines. Our goal was to highlight important climate news and talk about what it meant. That year, I also started the Climate Money Substack under the premise that solving, and now perhaps simply dealing with, climate change would be the greatest value creation opportunity of our lifetimes.
Since then, the world of climate action and climate money has evolved dramatically. Climate change has gotten louder and uglier, and we are responding.
The Climate Money podcast is an updated version of that original Clubhouse room (thank you Clubhouse!), with a slight tweak — we’ll focus just on the ample stories where climate and business intersect.
It won’t just be climate venture capital either. I’m a climate VC, but my work at a multistage fund that also deals in public equities and large late stage transactions makes me think about the world beyond early stage venture.
For example, in Ep. 1, we look at:
The UAE's new $30B climate fund and what it means for climate investing
A big development for carbon sequestration in... Louisiana?
India's solar and wind story, the good the bad and the tricky
First Solar's $700M revenue bump from tax credits courtesy of the IRA
This is a short podcast meant to help you stay up to date on what’s going on in the world of climate + money, which are converging more every day.
We invite you to tune in for a quick way to get your climate business news!
PS — we’re squarely in homegrown experiment territory, so please share your feedback so we can make this more useful for everyone.
Love this initiative Susan! Looking forward to following the next ones!
